Nadir grew up playing competitive soccer in Northern Virginia with various top level teams (BRYC, VISTA, FPYC, Alexandria, and SYC). He went on to play club soccer at James Madison University where they won back to back National Championships. He is the Executive Director of Total Futbol which has worked with over sixty teams in ten years. Nadir currently holds a USSF “B” License as well as a NSCAA Regional Goalkeeping Diploma. He was a staff coach for the Washington Freedom Super Y teams and took his team to the North American National Finals. He was also a staff coach for DC Elite Training and VYSA’s Olympic Development Program.

The nationally ranked Herndon Youth Soccer (HYS) Firecats '94, formerly known as the Chantilly Youth Association (CYA) Firecats, who played in the National League from 2010-2013 and were WAGS D1 Champions, Virginia State Cup Champions (2009, 2010), and Region 1 Semi-Finalists (2011).
He took his CYA Chaos '96 team from WAGS Division 5 to WAGS Division 1 Champions in just 2 years. Many of the Chaos players followed him to McLean Youth Soccer (MYS), where he drew together a pool of players into the McLean '96 Green/ECNL team.
McLean '96 Green/ECNL became one of the best teams in the nation, finishing as USYS National Championship Finalists (2016), ECNL National Semi-Finalists (2015), ECNL Mid-Atlantic Conference Champions (2013, 2014, 2015), Virginia State Cup Champions (2013, 2015, 2016), Region I Champions League Champions (2015) and Region 1 Championships Finalists (2015) and Champions (2016).
His current McLean '00 ECNL team tops the ECNL's Mid-Atlantic Conference (as of March 2017) and is ranked as one of the Top 25 U17 girls teams in the nation by both Top Drawer Soccer and Got Soccer.
His Vienna Youth Soccer (VYS) Thunder Black '98 team were EDP Cup Champions (2015) and have reached the Virginia State Cup Semi-Finals three times (2012, 2013 and 2015). Thunder Black were also Champions in WAGS Division 1 (2013) and WAGS D1 Finalists (2011, 2012, 2014) in most cases playing a year or two age groups up.
Nadir’s teams have come back with hardware from many of the top tournaments and showcases in the U.S., including the Disney Showcase, Vegas Showcase, Jefferson Cup, PDA College Showcase, WAGS Tournament, Bethesda Premier Tournament, FC Delco’s Players Showcase, and the CASL Showcase, not to mention, his teams have gone undefeated at multiple ECNL showcase events (PDA, Sanford, and Frisco).

Nadir is also an assistant coach with the Howard University Lady Bison. In his first year at the program (2012), he helped the Bison get to their first ever conference tournament final (Great West Conference). In his third year (2014), the Lady won both the regular season and conference championship (SWAC Conference). And this past year (2015), the Lady Bison continued their upward path, finishing with the program’s best record ever on the way to another SWAC Conference championship and the first ever NCAA tournament bid. The 2016 season is currently in progress.
Along with his team success, Nadir has excelled in individual development. Many of Nadir’s players have participated in Virginia's Olympic Development Program (ODP), with some being selected for the State, Regional, and National teams. A number of his players have also attended the National Training Centers and the ECNL Player Development Program, which are regional ID programs to further identify and evaluate candidates for the U.S. National Team. A few of these players have been selected for U.S. Youth National Teams. Nadir has sent players with dual citizenship to participate with national programs outside of the U.S., including Iceland and Jamaica. Many of Nadir’s players have received recognition from The Washington Post — being selected on All-Met teams — and many have been recognized by the NSCAA as All-Americans. He has sent more than 50 players to play NCAA soccer at top institutions such as the University of Virginia, Boston College, University of Kentucky, Harvard, Virginia Tech and Duke.
McLean ECNL '99, coached by Total Futbol Executive Director Nadir Moumen, went undefeated in eight consecutive tournaments during the 2015-16 season, including in three ECNL national events. The team went 23-0-2, scoring an average of 3.2 goals per game while conceding an average of 0.56 per game.
On July 25, 2016, the McLean '96 Green team (shown above), coached by Nadir Moumen since 2011, finished as Finalists in the USYS National Championships in Frisco, Texas. They advanced to the National Championships after winning the Virginia State Cup and Region I Championships in their age group.
