Winning a division title in any sport isn’t easy, and clinching it with a game to spare is even harder. The Chantilly Storm were able to cap off their U13 year by doing exactly that, with the WAGS Division 2 Championship sealed with a game to spare.
The team was dominant in their regular season. The girls finished the year with a record of 6-1-2, scoring 17 goals while only conceding 3. Their +14 goal difference was by far the best in the division, with the next best team managing just over half of the Storm’s mark. The ability to clinch the division crown so early was a result of the team’s fantastic start to the season. The girls began the year with 6 wins and 2 draws over their first 8 games. In fact, it took over 7 games for a team to even manage to get a goal against the team.
Congratulations to the Storm on a wonderful Spring season! The hard work that the group put forth throughout the season and in their winter training leading up to it paid off in a great way.
