Next Stop for Herndon United 99: College

Herndon United '99 ended its impressive run through the gauntlet of youth soccer league and tournament competition ranked #2 in the state of Virginia,  #8 in Region I and #16 in the nation, according to Thirteen of its current players will play in college this fall and one former player started college last year.
In its final spring season of youth soccer, the team competed in the prestigious G19 Elite Blue division of the Region I Eastern Regional League, finishing in second place. In the fall of 2017, the team advanced to the Final game of the U19/U20 Virginia State Cup Championship and took home silver medals after a narrow one-goal loss. For each of the last four years (fall 2014-fall 2017), Herndon United finished as either Finalists or Semi-Finalists in state cup competition.
Herndon United cut a wide swath through prestigious soccer tournaments, always competing at the highest levels. For example, from August 2016 through January 2017, the team competed in a total of eight tournaments and won five of them. Among their achievements, they were Champions at both the Disney Soccer Showcase and the NSCAA’s College Showcase.
