Hurricanes White Win Arlington Spring Invitational

The Hurricanes program notched another championship title at the 2014 Arlington Spring Invitational as the White team capped an undefeated weekend with a championship win.  Shutout was the word of the weekend as the girls went the entire four games without conceding a single goal.

Things started off well for the team as the girls notched a 1-0 win in their first game of the weekend.  The offense found it’s stride for the rest of the group play, scoring six times over the final two games to cruise to a couple of easy wins.

FC Frederick ’02 awaited White in the final.  Their record from the preliminary games was two wins and a draw, with nine goals scored and only one conceded.  The championship game matched up a pair of stout defenses playing well, and neither team was able to score during regulation or overtime.  A PK shootout was the only way to split the two teams, and Madison stepped up in goal making 3 saves as White notched 3 goals to win the championship!
